About us
Open source designs, decentralized production marketplace powered by Yabbey: We believe that technology can completely transform the way we make clothes.
We are certified as a B-Corporation based in California. Yabbey is our newest venture that was created in 2021 based on our belief that we can address fashion's sustainability and wage gap by deconstructing the broken global supply chain and rebuilding it from the ground up. We have been already recognized by Fast Company's 2022 World Changing Ideas Awards.
The idea began with the shortage of medical gowns during the pandemic. By making DIY information available online, our site quickly gained more than 300,000 people from 180 countries who accessed and learned how to make medical gowns. We ended up solving the PPE crisis by providing 30 million gowns, and the idea of Yabby was born!
Our aim is to create the largest digital fashion design and pattern library online.
In 2022, we plan to launch the decentralized marketplace where makers create fashion faster than fast fashion based on our designs and sell and ship directly to buyers without intermediaries and maximizing the revenues for makers. We also hope buyers choose the closest maker to reduce unnecessary carbon footprint.
Within the first few months of our launch, people from 68 countries joined Yabbey. Be part of the community that's transforming fashion one creation at a time.
Special makers around the world are featured under our social mission products. They are women in Myanmar, refugees from Afghanistan / Ukraine or people in disadvantaged communities around the world.
